Lasagne

  • 350g Minced beef
  • 1 Large onion
  • 1Tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Large Garlic clove
  • 100g Sliced mushrooms
  • Heaped tablespoon tomato puree
  • Teaspoon paprika
  • Teaspoon mixed herbs
  • Splash of Worcester sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons beef grave granules
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 100g cheddar cheese
  • Parmesan

  1. Fry the onions and garlic in a little oil until onions are translucent, add the mixed herbs, paprika and minced beef, cook until the beef is cooked through.
  2. Add the tomato purée, tinned tomatoes and sliced mushrooms and cook for a few minutes, add the Worcester sauce and gravy granules you may need to add a little water at this point.
  3. Cook this for about 10 minutes.
  4. Make the white sauce, follow my recipe for this.
  5. Now to build the lasagne.
  6. Put a thin layer of the beef sauce in the bottom of an oven proof dish, then a small amount of white sauce cover this with sheets of pasta, (I always used shop bought its cheap and simpler).
  7. Do this until you have about 4 layers (depending on the type of dish you use) finishing with white sauce. Great over some strong cheddar cheese and sprinkle with some parmesan cheese.
  8. Place in the oven at 180 for about 40 minutes
